The NSW Liquor & Gaming’s Hospitality & Racing Reforms webinar, which was held on Tuesday 11 June, confirmed that RGOs can perform other duties after midnight, but must maintain visibility across the gaming floor at all times. It was specifically mentioned that RGOs can’t make drinks unless they have visibility across the gaming floor from the bar.

Under these guidelines, a mobile app, available for use on-the-go while on the gaming floor, is the only compliance tool that meets these requirements. Reporting systems that require the user to work back of house, or to keep a hard copy register on the floor, are going to be difficult to manage and are fraught with privacy issues.
