An industry stakeholder group says pubs and clubs want to be proactive when it comes to stamping out money laundering and problem gambling.
The state government is working to implement a cashless gaming card which has been met with criticism from some lobby groups.
Responsible Gaming Industry Forum chairman Frank Makryllos told Mark Levy the issue shouldn’t be driving a wedge between government and businesses.
“They don’t want people in the clubs laundering money, most clubs I talk with want to be proactive about this.”
